Seahollies
to play Road to Rolling Rock Town Fair IV
|
This
is a Battle of the Bands competition at the Cleveland Hard
Rock Cafe to see who will appear at Rolling Rock Town Fair
IV. Seahollies, will be competing against Monkey Love,
Skunkadelic and Defy, Thursday, June 19th. The show starts
at 10pm, however Seahollies time slot is yet to be determined
so be sure to arrive early. Seahollies have arranged an
all inclusive bus trip from Erie to the show and back,

Zomo
to play Erie Arts Festival

On
Thursday, June 26th Zomo will
be appearing at the Erie Arts Festival, Main Stage
beginning at 6pm. The
show will be broadcast on live TV - more info on what
channel it will be brodcast on will be coming soon...
The band will also be playing at the Arts Festival's Side Stage on
Saturday, June 28, starting at 3pm.

opportunities from the Mayor's Office

The
Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs is offering two
performance opportunities for local artists.
Currently they are seeking performers for CelebrateErie 2003, which is
scheduled for August 15-17th.
The other opportunity is Dowtown Fridays which begins Friday, May 16th.
This event will feature live music in Perry Square from 6-8pm every Friday
evening.

for Diabetes at Forward Hall, May 9th

Featuring
The Shindig, East Avenue, Frogtree Gorge Band, Monday
Mourning and Abbey Road. Admission is $5, door open
at 7pm. All proceeds benefit the Erie County Diabetes
Association (excluding beverage sales). This is a 21 & over
show.
Free pizza will be provided courtesy of Little Caesars 38th & Liberty.
Prizes will also be awarded via Chinese Auction donated by ten local
businesses.

Torn
Curtain will be appearing at Scotty's Jazz and
Cigars Saturday, April 26th. The duo will have copies
of their new CD release available at the show, which
starts at 10pm.

Sunday,
April 13th Sammy Stone featured a Homegrown show dedicated
to PlayErie compilation
CD artists. Homegrown airs every Sunday at 8pm
on Rocket 101.

PlayErie
listening party at the Docksider Friday, April 11th
Our
first CD, the PlayErie
Compilation CD One features the original work
of 19 local artists in a variety of styles.
An informal listening party featuring the CD is scheduled for Friday,
April 11th at the Docksider from 5 - 8pm. Free pizza will be available
as well as $1 Labatts Blues.
Most of the nineteen artists featured on the compilation will be on
hand for the event and the first fifty people attending the party will
receive a copy of the CD.
The PlayErie online
shop will also be offering a free copy of the PlayErie Compilation
CD One with every order of 2 CD's or more (while supplies last).
