Artist
history
Recruiting the rhythm section of David Blaetz and Rick
Lopez (both formerly of Field Theory), Rick DiBello created this
improvisational trio to provide music for the theatrical production
- Red.
Red's debut was may 7 & 8,1999 at the Roadhouse Theater for
Contemporary Art. It is best classified as a rite, but can be also
recognized as an improvisational study in a performance art setting.
There were 12 initiates; 3 musicians, 8 officiates, and a lighting
technician. The rite lasted approximately one hour. Witnesses were
charged $5.00 at the door.
