Artist history
Calling Blue Skies is an Indie Rock band from Erie, PA, originating in February of 2002. After ephemeral collaborations of different members of past bands; Josiah, Mitch and Jon (Formerly known at Five Wounds) picked up Adam Marshall on the bass, and Andy Burnett on the guitar. They then started to mend and put together a few songs. In 2 months they recorded them at Hammer Sound (Insane Hammer) Studios, and put out a DIY 4 song demo called "Stuck in February". CBS created more music and played them at various local shows. In July, CBS had 7 more songs recorded at Hammer Sound, sent them to an unsuspecting record label out of Chicago called Downfall Records. Downfall creator, John Looby, was impressed and decided to create a friendship that developed into the signing of CBS to the label. The band was more than happy to oblige. It seemed there was nothing but a bright future for this group of young musicians.

On a quiet fall morning, of October 20th 2002, Andy was involved in a one-car accident on a dark, cold, and lonely street. Later that day, Andrew Paul Burnett was pronounced dead at 19 years old.

A week later the band got together to discuss what was going to happen with CBS. they decided to keep it going almost in the name of Andy. CBS is looking at a CD release and a summer tour along the east coast within this fresh New Year. So look out for these rockers.
