Description
Doublethink's music is nearly impossible to describe in its entirety. The group doesn't try to create anything specific, it just creates what it feels. Listen to their entire catalogue of songs and you will quickly realize that each of them is their own masterpiece. None try to be like the one before or after it. It is the lack of limitations the band has created for themselves that makes them so successful thus far. They are never trying to be something that they are not.

A variety of words can be used to describe the musical phenomenon that this quintet is. A few come to mind: brilliant, unparalleled, stunning, creative, and distinctive. Some would use categories like Rock, or Jazz/Rock, or Blues/Jazz/Rock/Pop/Reggae/[Insert genre here]. Every style of music can be found in or has influenced the music that Doublethink creates, and that is what makes their invention so appealing.

Artist history
Their story begins in late 2001 when guitarist Aaron Keim began writing original songs. It was during his junior year in high school when he began writing music and performing publicly. He played with several talented musicians, but when he formed the group "Dazed" he knew he had something special. The group's lineup would change, as would its name, into what is now known as "Doublethink".

Doublethink has played at countless places around the Erie area, including Discover Presque Isle, the Summer Festival of the Arts, Downtown Fridays, and the Garage Band Blowout. They have several self made demo recordings, and anticipate taking their music to the professional studio this summer.
