Jeff and Roth used to be in a band called Westway that had a short but fun run in Eire. We all kind of took off for college after Roth picked up some recording equiptment talk of a summer studio band started. By the first week of summer we formed a band with the goal of getting a full length CD recorded by the end of summer. We started out with the old singer from Westway (and now the bassist in Hard Right On Water Street) but he quit for feminine reasons. So Shawn had met Tim at school the previous year and heard he used to sing in another Eire band...I forget who they were but the fact of the matter is he kicked ass when he showed up. The first time he ever heard us practice he sang along and jumped around like a maniac...it was great. So the last week of summer Jeff and Roth recorded the drum tracks to all seven songs. Roth played the rest of the tracks while everyone was at school during the year and Her Crooked Spine is what fell out of it.
