An eight-piece group whose influences are as diverse as its members. Mo Rebo's music is well produced with the way their rhythmic balance and melodic harmonies coincide with each other.

Music style
Mo Rebo's grooves vary between blends of jazz, rock, Caribbean, funk, blues & soul. With all of these ear-pleasing sounds forming, it's a bit difficult to place your finger on a particular genre.

Artist History
In 1995 MoRebo began as a free form, percussion and rhythm band known as Earth Island Ensemble (E.I.E.). Throughout the years they decided to add structure and vocals to their recipe, all while maintaining their original sound. To facilitate this evolution, lyrics, saxophone, and a couple of guitars were added to the mix. The result is a powerful new dynamic to the Earth Island Sound. After experiencing this new metamorphosis, the band decided that the name Mo Rebo would better describe their new style of genre-bending music.

The name Mo Rebo is based on a Howie Green character from his book Jazz Fish Zen. In the story Mo Rebo is a sidekick to another character, by the name of Noodle, who ends up at the end of the story finding a key on his path to enlightenment, much like the band's characters. Mr. Green has showed nothing but flattery and excitement having his character associated with the band's music.
