Overall a nice effort, of safe mid-tempo blues-country influenced pop
music. Each song clocks in at under 4 minutes and is full of nice
guitar work and strong rhythm tracks. There are two female singers
who look great/sexy on the cover…this band should really
get the guys out of the pictures (future promotion ideas)…Their
voices have a nice, unique country feel, kind of raspy, like the
type of woman who has been done wrong, although they certainly
don’t look the part, with the young, sweet neo-hippie/country
thang going on. They either fake or imitate the school of hard
knock blues voice very well.
The band is at its best when both gals are singing at the same time,
like during New Pair of Shoes that has this kind of cool blues vibe to
it and breaks out into capable guitar riff…and then back to the
hummable chorus. Probably the most memorable track on the record. Again,
nothing ground-breaking here, but for fans of commercially viable blues-country
with cute women singers, this may be for you. -
