The
Seahollies
CD release - "Taurine"
|
|
|
|
|
During
their heavier moments the Seahollies are in the realm of
Tool (or perhaps more precisely Maynard Keenan's side project,
A Perfect Circle). What sets this record apart is Ralph
Chamberlain's clean, clear... and at times pop influenced
melodies. The Seahollies aren't afraid to venture into
the lighter side of things as well: check out Moonlit Skies
or I Don't Need To Know.
The band
is tight with Teel (guitars), Aaron Forsyth (bass) and
Tony Fosco (drums) laying down a solid instrumental foundation.
The production and sonic quality of this release are excellent,
which studio wizard Trevor Huster recorded, engineered
and produced at his Diecaster Studios here in Erie.
A professional
package all around, Taurine features eye catching graphic
design by Aaron Forsyth (and you thought he was just the
bass player) as well as a cutting edge companion website.
Taurine
is available at Catwalk Music as well as in our own Online
Cd Shop. Make an effort to pick this one up, it will
undoubtedly be in your regular rotation. -J.Trevethan
