Noreaga

First
up . . . General Noreaga
So
i'm listening and something sounds funny. Ah. I finally
figured it out. There was a female hidden in the corner
singing! This addition gave depth and diversity to the
overall sound. Reminded me of Black Sabbath meets Sisters
Of Mercy. Most of the time though, they sounded like a
cross between Soundgarden ( or that whole Seattle thing
) and
The Cure.
Their arrangements
, while bordering on prog rock, almost had a theme feel.
Like each tune was an opera or a soundtrack for a short
film. Very cool.
They
also made excellent
use of the standard guitar - bass - drum thing.

Castration

Second
. . . Castration
With
mike in hand the vocalist says: "This next song is about
a guy in the Bible . . . .
SATAN
!
The
forces of the netherword were thusly unleashed! This is
the music you will hear
when the end of the world is occuring. THUNDEROUS!
Either that or this band has a weekly gig at the Holiday
Inn in Hell.
Young.
This band was young. I believe all were teenagers. Better
they work off their frustrations this way instead of getting
a job at McDonalds and murdering 100 customers. ( or maybe
that would be more humanitarian than the slow method that
McDonalds customers are using to murder themselves ).
They
were young but seemed to have a grasp of advanced
time concepts. Or the tempo / time quotient. This is a
rule of physics that says "The faster the tempo -
the shorter the length of song" A couple tunes were
short , maybe 2 minutes total. Killer.
Watch out for this gang.

OK.
I could just say: "Look at the photo - it's worth
a million words", but in the name of the Ancient Godz
of Damp Castles, I am compelled to say more.
Can
anybody say "Rock On"?
I
still am clueless as to what that finger jesture means
.... hey give me a break! ... I'm old!
These
guys can be described as "Druid Rock for Cro-Magnum Neanderthals".
And rock they did! The best part about these guys is they
have a sense of humor. By far the grooviest of the metalers
so far. Mountains of hair and volumes of VOLUME!
Riff-Rock
masters! Sir Lord Baltimore would be proud!
I'm
still confused though as to why Malcom In The Middle's
brother is in the band......................
